								<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">Telefónica mantiene su compromiso con las <strong>energías renovables</strong> y anuncia que entre sus objetivos globales se incluye que para el año 2020 el 50 por ciento de la electricidad utilizada en sus operaciones provenga de <strong>fuentes limpias</strong>, y para el año 2030 que sea el 100 por ciento. Así, la compañía reducirá a la mitad la <strong>intensidad energética</strong> y disminuirá en un 5 por ciento las emisiones de Gases de Efecto Invernadero. Además prevé que con estas medidas de fuentes de <strong>energías renovables</strong> se podrán ahorrar unos 80 millones de euros. Estos objetivos concuerdan con el compromiso mundial de no superar los 2º C de temperatura que establece el <strong>Acuerdo de París</strong>.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">El presidente de Telefónica ha afirmado que estos objetivos responden perfectamente a la estrategia de crecimiento y despliegue de red de Telefónica, que consisten en hacer más con menos y tener la Red más eficiente y limpia del sector en términos de <strong>energía y carbono</strong>. Desde Telefónica quieren lo mejor para su cuenta de resultados, para los clientes, paras sus familias y para las futuras generaciones. También afirman que enfrentarse al reto del <strong>cambio climático</strong> es una obligación y que hay que ser consciente de las responsabilidades que tienen las grandes empresas, tanto en la reducción de nuestra propia <strong>huella de carbono</strong> como en el papel que podemos jugar con soluciones.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Y es que en Telefónica se toman la <strong>eficiencia energética</strong> como una obligación, y por tanto, pretenden mantener su liderazgo en índices como la transparencia y el desempeño en materia del <strong>cambio climático</strong>. El Consejo de Administración de Telefónica ha aprobado una Política Global de Gestión Energética para poder cumplir estos objetivos. Telefónica también potenciará su Programa de <strong>Eficiencia Energética</strong>, que fue galardonado con la distinción de “GSMA Glomo” en el pasado Mobile Word Congress de Barcelona. La multinacional también impulsará nuevas reducciones de combustible, la transformación de su red con las tecnologías más avanzadas y el uso de las <strong>energías limpias</strong>.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Durante el período que este Programa de Eficiencia Energética ha estado vigente, entre los años 2010 y 2015, Telefónica llevó a cabo 257 iniciativas de <strong>eficiencia energética</strong> y <strong>reducción de emisiones</strong> de GEI en sus redes y delegaciones, lo que ha supuesto un ahorro para la compañía de más de 64 millones de euros y una reducción de la intensidad energética del 25 por ciento. El anuncio de estas medidas se ha producido a la vez que se estaba celebrando en Marrakech la Conferencia de la Organización de las Naciones Unidades sobre <strong>cambio climático</strong>.</p>
