Y es que resulta que del total de CO2 emitido a la atmósfera, cerca de un 30 por ciento es generado por las calefacciones de nuestros edificios. Es por eso que, desde los 70, en que se comenzó a estudiar el fenómeno del calentamiento global y el efecto invernadero y ciertos países se han propuesto aumentar la producción de las energías limpias y reducir las emisiones de CO2. Como usuario ha de saber que para encargar un certificado deberá contratar un técnico certificador que visitará su edificio tras acordar una cita. Esto lo exige el Real Decreto 235/2013, de 5 de abril, por lo que deberá desconfiar de aquellas empresas que le manden un documento a rellenar.
Porque si los datos recabados son erróneos corre el riesgo que su certificado obtenga una calificación inadecuada. Una vez en el edificio el técnico estudiará la envolvente de su hogar, los suelos, las cubiertas, las fachadas, las medianerías y todos aquellos cerramientos en contacto con espacios que no cuentan con calefacción a través de los que la vivienda pierde energía. El técnico determinará los elementos constructivos de la misma y el tipo de instalaciones térmicas de que dispone. Con todos estos datos, y utilizando cualquiera de los programas informáticos reconocidos por el Ministerio de Industria y Energía, el técnico obtendrá la calificación energética y propondrá medidas razonables de mejora, es decir, aquellas reformas que como usuario, usted podría hacer para elevar la calificación energética de su vivienda.
Por último, para que el certificado tenga valor administrativo deberá, previo abono de una tasa, registrarse en la Consejería de Industria de su comunidad autónoma, la cual le enviará en un plazo de dos a tres meses la etiqueta oficial correspondiente a la calificación obtenida. A cuánto puede costar este certificado, analice todo el proceso que conlleva su realización y compárelo, por ejemplo, con lo que podría costar una visita a domicilio de un técnico calefactor o de un electricista cualificado. Verá que los precios de mercado son muy competitivos. Piense también que una alternativa para abaratar costes sería que la comunidad encargase un certificado energético de todo el edificio, beneficiándose de ese modo todos los vecinos.
